How does the bible explain the different races?

Ok. Now if the earth is 6,000 years old, and adam and eve were white, were did black, and Asians come from? After god flooded the planet and restarted with noah’s family which were also white, where did all the black, and Asians come from? Even if you switch the races it still makes no sense as how the different races came to be. So what are your excuses?

BTW: I do not believe in the bullocks of the bible.

According to the Bible, all people today descended from the survivors of a great Flood – Noah’s family, who in turn descended from Adam and Eve (Gen 1:11). There are many stories, from many parts of the world, of a great Flood that only several people survived to repopulate the earth.
But today we have many different groups, often called “races” with what seem to be greatly differing features. The most obvious of these is skin color. Some see this as a reason to doubt the Bible’s record of history. They believe that the various groups could have arisen only by evolving separately over tens of thousands of years. However, this does not follow from the evidence.
The Bible tells us how the population that descended from Noah’s family had one language and were living together and disobeying God’s command to “fill the earth” (Gen 9:1, 11:4). God confused their language, causing a break-up of the population into smaller groups, which scattered over the earth (Gen. 11:8-9). Modern genetics shows how, following such a break-up of a population, variations in skin color, for example, can develop in only a few generations. And there is good evidence to show that the various groups of people we have today have NOT been separated for huge periods of time.
One could say there is really only one race – the human race. The Bible teaches us that God has “made from one blood all nations of men” (Acts 17:26. Scripture distinguishes people by tribal or national groupings, not by skin color or physical features. Clearly, though, there are groups of people, who have certain features (e.g. skin color) in common, which distinguish them from other groups. We prefer to call these “people groups” rather than “races,” to avoid the evolutionary and racist connotations that have become associated with the word “race.”
All peoples can intermarry and produce fertile offspring. This shows that the biological differences between the “races” are not great. In fact, the DNA differences are trivial. The DNA of any two people in the world would typically differ by just 0.2%. Of this, only 6% can be linked to racial categories; the rest is “within race” variation.
This genetic unity means, for instance, that white Americans, although ostensibly far removed from black Americans in phenotype, can sometimes be better tissue matches for them than other black Americans.

it does not but common sense tells us its from people living in different climates.

    tower of Babel.

Some Christians take the tower of babel myth out of context to say that all races were created at one time somewhere in Israel. But archeology obviously contradicts this.

Earth is over 4.5 billion years the bible is 6,000 because its based on Adam and Eve lineage Genesis 5 states this matter. Now how do we know by the types of tribes for example jebusites, canaanites etc. Noah had 3 children white , black and yellow if you pay attention to tribes they come from his lineage Read Genesis 9:18 Noah left with his family and his childrens wives thats many people. Its unfortunate but through this scripture you learn about race

My mom always told me it was the tower of Babel. But I don’t believe that.

    Answer to racism:

And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

Some say the sixth day creation was all the races. Then God formed Adam. Also, some think the flood was local, so only the fallen angels, giants, etc.. would be done away with. Speculation.

Read Genesis 11 when people were separated by different tongues and those understanding each other lived in their own areas. Over time races came about due to climatic conditions and acts of God.
All of this however explained will not determine your eternity. The one important truth is that Jesus died so that you could live with God for an eternity without pain, or death and in perfect peace.

    Jesus loves you too.

From where did the various races come?
-Gen. 5:1, 2; 1:28: “In the day of God’s creating Adam he made him in the likeness of God. Male and female he created them. After that he blessed them and called their name Man [or, Mankind] in the day of their being created.” “God blessed them and God said to them: ‘Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth.’” (Thus all mankind are descendants of that first human pair, Adam and Eve.)
-Acts 17:26: “[God] made out of one man [Adam] every nation of men, to dwell upon the entire surface of the earth.” (So, regardless of what races make up a nation, they all are offspring of Adam.)
-Gen. 9:18, 19: “Noah’s sons who came out of the ark were Shem and Ham and Japheth. . . . These three were Noah’s sons, and from these was all the earth’s population spread abroad.” (After God destroyed the ungodly world by means of a global flood in Noah’s day, the earth’s new population, including all the races known today, developed from the offspring of Noah’s three sons and their wives.)ORIGIN OF

ALL mankind descended from the first human pair, Adam and Eve. (Ge 1:28; 3:20; 5:1, 2) After the Flood, earth’s new population, including all the races and national groups on earth today, descended from Noah through his three sons and their wives, who were survivors of that global Deluge. Thus, after listing 70 offspring of the sons of Noah, the Genesis account says: “From these the nations were spread about in the earth.”—Ge 10:32.

    1. The earth is *not* 6,000 years old — it’s 4.5 billion years old.
    2. The “adam & eve” story in the bible is fictional.
    3. Nowhere in the bible does it say what color fictional adam & eve’s skin was.
    4. The story of Noah in the bible is fictional.
    5. Nowhere in the bible does it say what color fictional Noah’s skin was.
    6. It is impossible for the 6.2 billion+ people alive today to have all descended from one guy 5,500 years ago (or so).
    7. The bible is almost entirely fictional.

If you don’t believe in the Bible, why do you ask?

The answer is simple-it is a little thing called natural selection(yes, natural selection works even with humans)

First off, we do not know that Adam and Eve were white. They were more likely “medium” toned skin, like today’s arabs. Same applied with Noah and his sons, and their wives(totalling 8 people after the flood)

Let’s start at the Tower of Babel. Mankind was trying to disobey God’s orders to “multiply and fill the earth” by staying in one single mega-city. They tried to unify themselves by making the towers as a monument to mankind. They were glorifying themselves rather than glorifying God.

God corrected this by confusing their languages–they could not communicate with each other, so they were unable to coordinate enough to complete the tower. They separated into tribes of common languages, and began traveling to their own parts of the world. At this time, there was many genetic variation withing each tribe-white/medium/black skin, tall/medium/short height, etc

Now is where natural selection comes into play. In mid- and southern-africa, it is hot, with lots and lots of sunlight. Whatever white colored individuals there were quickly died from skin cancer, heat stroke, what have you, because white skin has very little melanin(the substance that gives skin its color, and protects against sunlight). Blacks thrived since they would withstand the sunlight a lot better.

In europe, the opposite happened; black skinned people need a lot of sun, since their high melanin levels inhibit them from producing vitamin K from sunlight. Europe did not have enough sun, so they quickly grew sick and died out. Conversely, whites thrived because they absorbed sunlight better.

I’m not sure what variables led to asians, but I’m pretty sure it’s essentially the same kind of stuff.

Then we have middle easterners, whether they be babylonians, israelis, egyptians, persians, whatever, who stayed relatively close to the original site of babel.

So now we have 4 people groups(I don’t like the term races, it’s, well, racist): europeans(whites/middle easterners), africans(blacks), middle easerners, and asians.

You can tell that any american natives, they be navajo, eskimo, inuit, dakota, lakota, aztek, whatever, are asian by descent, just by comparing them to one another. So native americans are simply an offshoot of asians. Also, Hispanics are simply a further mix between europeans(spaniards specifically) and the native south americans, though spanish men marrying the american women.

There are multiple other examples–when forces such as Alexander the Great, Attila the Hun, and Saladin conquered different parts of the world, they often intermarried with the locals of the conquered regions–Many modern spaniards have arab as well as european blood for example.

So sum it all up, all “races” are merely genetic trends caused by regional conditions. They are merely observable variations in skin coler(simply high or low amounts of melanin), height, weight, bone structure, etc.

    1) How does the bible explain the different races?

It doesn’t. It seems that the bible authors had no concept of race as we do today – and, once again, the bible proves itself accurate. Genetic studies have shown that the “classic” 3 races terminology is wholly improper and misleading.

    2) Now if the earth is 6,000 years old

It’s at *least* that old! More like 6 billion! But, OK, let’s “if”…

    3) and adam and eve were white

    Another huge “if”…

    4) were did black, and Asians come from?

That would be Adam and Eve.

    5) Even if you switch the races it still makes no sense as how the different races came to be.

Of course it does – even with the very restrictive conditions of your “what if”. Consider, for example, that dogs – ALL dogs – are a single species. Then consider that dogs, in general, look like they do today because of human breeding. That’s right – St. Bernards and Chihuahuas are the **same species** – different (from you point of view) *races*. We can develop (and have) – through breeding – a very different looking “race” of dog within a single human being’s lifetime.

Now, human’s live longer than dogs, and normally don’t employ breeding programs outside of the worst kind of slavery. Still, it should be easy to see how different “shades” of humanity, or different eye shapes, or *whatever*, can develop within just a *few* generations of any animal species. This is *well* known in husbandry.

So, you don’t need 6,000 years. 600 is probably more than enough.

Tower of Babel had nothing to do with different races or skin colour, it was about language.
I am a Christian but do not believe that we are only 6000 years old as a human race. I do believe that the “big bang” is real, and God created the earth using it. I do not believe in evolution, that we crawled out of the sea (sea creatures are a completely different species) and evolved, but I do believe that the story of Adam and Eve is a symbolic story to explain our real connection to God, and of the creation of man, by Him.
