What is a good bible verse about mission work?

Over spring break I am going to go on mission trip in mexico to build houses for the poor. In order to do so, I must right a paper on why I want to go. I have started writing and I think that I should add a bible verse in my paper. What is a good bible verse about mission work or serving God? Thank you so much!

[Homer tries to flee the Power Plant. A giant spider blocks his way. He consults his map...]
Homer: To overcome the Spiders curse, simply quote a Bible verse…ummm…”Thou shall not…”
[He gives up, picks up a rock and throws it at the spider, killing it.]

    Mark 16:15 springs to mind.
    How about John 4:39-42?
39 Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.”
40 So when the Samaritans came to him, they urged him to stay with them, and he stayed two days.
41 And because of his words many more became believers.
42 They said to the woman, “We no longer believe just because of what you said; now we have heard for ourselves, and we know that this man really is the Savior of the world.”

I like Psalm 72:12-14. It’s talking about the King, but since we believe that political power is with the people, it would logically apply to us…and it becomes our task to rescue the poor, oppressed and needy.

or you can look at Ezekiel 16:49 for what God will judge in a prosperous nation that ignores the poor next door:

Sodom’s sins were pride, gluttony, and laziness, while the poor and needy suffered outside her door.

Or you could discuss the “works” as a natural extension of loving people as we are commanded in 1 Corinthians 13:3 to witness to the love of the Father.

If I gave everything I have to the poor and even sacrificed my body, I could boast about it; but if I didn’t love others, I would have gained nothing

Blessings to all. For the word of God is quick, and powerful and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discern er of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4: 12…. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God , to them who are the called according to His purpose. Roman 8;28.Peace to you I wish you the best in your work for the Lord, may he keep you safe from harm or any danger. God bless!
